Hi Reader,
If there’s one thing I’ve learned after my first full year of running my own business, it’s this:
Entrepreneurship is a lot.
There are so many things I didn’t even realize would take up my time—admin, marketing myself, managing a variety of projects...
It’s all important, and it’s all on my plate.
Like you, I’ve worked (very) late into the night more times than I can count, trying to keep up with everything.
But here’s what I’ve also learned: balance doesn’t have to look like doing everything perfectly.
It’s about honoring what works for you.
Heading into Thanksgiving, I’ve been reflecting on how grateful I am for the opportunity to create a business that works for me—and for people like you who make that possible.
I’m grateful for all the chances this entrepreneurial journey has brought me to connect with amazing humans like you.
Thank you, Reader, for taking the time to read and grow with me. 💖
The Balance I’m Finding (and Why It Feels Good)
Following My Natural Energy Flow 🧘♀️
I’ve let go of trying to fit into a traditional M-F 9-to-5 schedule and instead embraced the hours when I’m naturally most productive.
Some days, that means working at night, but I get so much more good work done when I align with my energy rather than fighting it.
Prioritizing Time Outside ☀️
Daily walks and weekly hikes have become non-negotiables for me.
Right now, this Texas fall weather is beautiful, so I’m soaking it up!
Stepping away from my desk helps me reset and keeps my creativity flowing.
Experimenting (and Pivoting When Needed) 👩🔬
Systems are helpful, but they’re not set in stone.
I’ve learned to adapt and experiment, especially when creativity strikes—like these last couple of months, when my energy was suddenly bursting at the seams with fresh ideas and inspiration.
I leaned into that energy by hosting my first live workshop and trying new things in my business just for fun.
Here’s the thing: finding balance is a lot like finding the right marketing strategy.
It’s not about doing everything—it’s about doing the right things for you.
For me, that’s been about experimenting, prioritizing what works, and showing up consistently in a way that feels aligned.
For my clients, it’s about creating sustainable, intentional marketing systems that make their lives easier.
Because marketing doesn’t have to be overwhelming—it can actually feel good when it’s built around your business and values.
My words of encouragement:
- Let go of “shoulds,” or as my Mom would say, “Don’t should on me.” (That goes for self-talk too!) Build your schedule and systems around your values.
- Make space for joy. Whether it’s a daily walk, a creative project, or something new in your business…find what lights you up and do that.
- Experiment. Systems are great, but they’re not one-size-fits-all. Pivot when you need to. Embrace the season you find yourself in.
Here’s to embracing the messy, beautiful balance of doing it all.
