3 tips for simple (and stress-free) email marketing

Hi Reader,

Confession time.

As someone who helps businesses with their marketing, you'd think I'd be nailing my own email strategy... but, life likes to life (ya know?).

I’ve been balancing all the things—prioritizing client work, prepping for speaking engagements, and honoring my capacity.

Earlier this month, I celebrated my birthday (cue the confetti! 🦂✨), and took a moment to reflect on the past year.

One of the things I realized? I want to prioritize connection—not just in my personal life, but here—with you, Reader.

My goal is to create emails that feel like a conversation, not just another thing cluttering your inbox.

I want to share insights, tips, and reflections that actually bring value and help you grow your business sustainably.

So, as I venture into this next lap around the sun, I’m committing to showing up for you more regularly.

* pinky promise *

And here’s the fun part: the tips I’m using to stay on top of my marketing goals might help you too.

3 Ways I'm Simplifying My Email Marketing

1. Batch Content Creation

Instead of writing one email at a time (and scrambling every. single. time.), I will draft 2–4 emails at once.

Batching saves time, reduces stress, and keeps me ahead of schedule.

2. Scheduling in Advance

This one’s a game-changer. Once the emails are written, I’ll schedule them right away.

No more last-minute panic—just peace of mind.

3. Tracking What Works

I’m making it a habit to track open rates, click-through rates, and engagement each week.

This helps me learn what resonates with you so I can focus on delivering the content you love most.

These are simple shifts, but they’re already helping me feel more intentional in my approach.

What About You?

If email marketing has felt overwhelming, I see you.

Start small. Intentional steps will build momentum.

Which of these tips resonates with you? Or do you have a go-to strategy? Hit reply—I’d love to hear!

Next week, I’ll share more about how I’m balancing all the moving parts of entrepreneurship (hint: it involves a lot of trial and error).

Here's to connecting and growing together!

Dare to shine,

Katy ✨

Hi Reader, If there’s one thing I’ve learned after my first full year of running my own business, it’s this: Entrepreneurship is a lot.
